FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What happens when an insurance claim is lodged:
When a client suffers a loss or damage they contact their insurance company who send out a Loss Adjustor to assess the claim. Even though the Loss Adjuster is to remain independent their duty is to protect the interests of the Insurance Company, our duty is to ensure that your claim is treated fairly and is as quick a timeframe as possible.

This question and answer section will help you understand how a Loss Assessor works for you:

A Loss Adjuster is a claims professional working on behalf of the insurance company.  Don’t forget – the loss adjuster’s job is to “adjust” your contents and buildings insurance claim once you have spent all the time needed to prepare it for them, and although they are officially impartial he is engaged and paid by the insurance company and must therefore settle your insurance claim as economically as possible

A Claim Consultant/Loss Assessor is a specialist who understands every procedure involved in negotiating insurance claims. They represent the insurance policy holder who have suffered a loss or damage to their property through fire, flood, storm, lightening etc. Employed by the claimant they ensure the policyholder receives fair compensation for their loss.

No. They work exclusively for the policyholder, negotiating claims and do not work for Insurance companies..

A Broker is a professional in determining your insurance needs and recommending the most suitable policy for you. Their service will not include preparation and negotiation of a claim on your behalf.

A lot of policyholders in Ireland don’t actually realise that they are entitled as a consumer to have a professional represent them in their property insurance claim. By using a Claim Consultant/Loss Assessor you can be sure that you will achieve the best possible result be it for your home or business. An insurance policy is a contract, making it subject to interpretation and negotiation. How a claim is interpreted, presented and negotiated directly effects the amount of settlement the policyholder receives.

You can be sure that you, the policyholder, will receive your full entitlement under your policy with our assistance.
